Kai Taipe

Friday 15, November 2019 at 7:49 pm; Kai Victor Taipe arrived in style. 56 hours of labor and one c-section later we got to meet our baby. Mom Angela is such a warrior, she is our hero. Dad Daniel is learning how to handle such a tiny human without breaking him. Gramma Lois and Grandpa Don are the perfect support. We have our village of family & friends from the Philippines to Colorado, from Maryland to Perú, from Tennessee to California; everyone sending love, prayers, and asking for more pictures. Thank you for letting us share Kai with you.

Our Baby Journey

Our ride has been wild, as many pregnancies are. It took us five years to feel a tiny bit prepared to have a baby. The saying sure is true: Parenting is a never ending journey (as is marriage). We know there are many unexpected adventures to come, however the fact is, we know our greatest strength will be the help of our village.

A Surprise!

On the day of our first ultrasound we were asked if we would like to discover the gender of our baby. Nowadays there are so few things in life that really surprise you, and boy or girl, our baby will be loved to the fullest. So yeah, for now, when we are asked what it’s going to be we say: a surprise!

Our foundation

We believe that all humans are equal. However in today’s society there is bias in any human interaction. The simple fact of acknowledging a person’s gender -sometimes unconsciously - releases a set of vocabulary and behavior not based on that person’s capabilities but on society archetypes. We hope our child can grow up with gender equality as a core character principle.

Gender Stereotype Free
Parenting

7.6 billion humans and counting on this planet. Little by little our decisions take away the life of this Earth, the only world that can provide what we need to exist. We hope our child can grow up understanding the immediate impact of each decision, and mostly how evil is the absence of action to take care of the environment.

Just
One Home

“Love thy neighbor as yourself,” five words that go long way to making our lives meaningful. Every day society cheers the selfish, the one who steps over others to reach personal goals. However, sincere love is a badge worthy to be carried. We hope our child can grow up seeking opportunities to be kind and to care for individuals and communities.
