This one’s for me

Here’s a bit of what I do as a mom. Although I’m appreciative moms are not the only ones that do any of these things for the kids in our world.

  • I’m the one that doesn’t sway when my child needs something solid to lean against. That’s true figuratively, but also physically on a daily basis. I’m essentially a wall, chair, step-stool or table he likes to use for all sorts of resting purposes.

  • I will always have dirty shoe prints on my clothes no matter how many times I change.

  • I understand what my child’s trying to say with the random words he throws out. “Mom! Big M eats funny fish!” Ah, yes. That’s a good one, kid.

  • I can turn anything into a game.

  • I know exactly how high he can climb before he gets scared and needs me close. But I will always let him climb past that point.

  • I have danced or sang in almost every single public place I’ve visited with him since he was born.

  • I eat all the sprinkles off his vanilla ice cream with sprinkles. He loves seeing them there, but does not want to eat them.
