This one’s for me
Here’s a bit of what I do as a mom. Although I’m appreciative moms are not the only ones that do any of these things for the kids in our world.
I’m the one that doesn’t sway when my child needs something solid to lean against. That’s true figuratively, but also physically on a daily basis. I’m essentially a wall, chair, step-stool or table he likes to use for all sorts of resting purposes.
I will always have dirty shoe prints on my clothes no matter how many times I change.
I understand what my child’s trying to say with the random words he throws out. “Mom! Big M eats funny fish!” Ah, yes. That’s a good one, kid.
I can turn anything into a game.
I know exactly how high he can climb before he gets scared and needs me close. But I will always let him climb past that point.
I have danced or sang in almost every single public place I’ve visited with him since he was born.
I eat all the sprinkles off his vanilla ice cream with sprinkles. He loves seeing them there, but does not want to eat them.
