Discovering life

Kai’s slowly beginning an adventurous phase. He’s been pretty cautious when facing something new. It’s taken coaxing to get him to touch leaves on a bush or feel a new book. Some of it may be him, but there are also definitive phases of development he’s going through.

His first playground of course is the house. So as he slowly finds his way around the kitchen, living room and more, he figures out the lay of the land. Some days the goal is to touch every single thing in the house very quickly. Other days he focuses in and learns one thing very well.

Today Kai was determined to figure out Daniel’s office chair. So he made his laps around it, looked at every piece, and quickly learned how it moved. And before you knew it, he had the chair spinning. For a solid 10 minutes at least the chair spun.

I can’t wait to see what he discovers tomorrow.
